@jamiestuartTV Part of coaching is knowing what to call in the game at hand. Sure, being creative and calling the play sounds great in hindsight, but the way they were playing against the Lions, it likely wasn’t the right call.
@colton_pouncy I don’t think it’s a problem. Right now, you can’t rewrite the rule to be fair to both sides, and, due to the subjective nature of the current rule, it’s always going to appear inconsistently called.
Oversaturating the market turns fans away. They come to London every year, so it's lost its appeal. Not to mention the teams playing in the game.
All that to say, there are too many International games.
It did become pay-for-play, but it should've been something like endorsements that Olympic/professional athletes do, or being allowed to make money on their own time using their likeness (ie. podcast/blogging). That means they need to make the rules different, and take it out of the college budget.
None of these solve the core issue. The issue with college sports is how NIL is administered. NIL should've always been solely about students' ability to make money off of their name, image, and likeness, but it never should've been a contract with the school, nor part of the school's budget.
Students should've been allowed to sign endorsement deals on their own, but the system is broken because they sign NIL deals with a particular school. THAT'S THE ISSUE.
🚨 BREAKING: The U.S. Senate has passed the Protect College Sports Act by a 77–22 vote.
If it becomes law, it would bring major changes to college athletics:
• Guarantee athletes one transfer without losing eligibility, with limited exceptions
• Require most athletes who transfer a second time to sit out one year
• Establish federal NIL and revenue-sharing rules
• Create new registration and certification requirements for athlete agents
• Strengthen enforcement against recruiting inducements and tampering
• Expand scholarship, medical and academic protections
• Establish nationwide eligibility standards
For high school recruits and college athletes, this could significantly change recruiting, transfers, NIL, revenue sharing and representation.
It would still need to pass the House and be signed by the president before becoming law.

@pvl1520 Yes, but that’s not the same as solely judging on the results. Most people should’ve known the Jets were still short on talent and still in a growth portion.
I’m so sick of this loser mentality talk from fans who act as if you can’t see positive signs in losing. Your pure results-oriented view to the Jets this season is a loser mentality. You’re so used to them losing that you don’t know what it actually takes to build a winner. Stop micro-analyzing everything and look at the big picture.
Really wanna see improvement from a kick/punt coverage and return game perspective these next few weeks. So good a year ago but the last 2 weeks has put the defense in tough situations with short fields or not created the explosives in the return game. Would go along way towards getting the Jets to 2-2 or 3-2 etc
