Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo swore in new Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justices Edilwasif T. Baddiri on April 11, 2025 and Jeoffre Willkom Acebido on April 14, 2025 at the #SupremeCourtPH in Manila. Both were appointed to the appellate court on February 24, 2025.

Justice Baddiri fills the post vacated by retired CA Justice Edwin D. Sorongon. Before joining the CA, Justice Baddiri served as Presiding Judge of Branch 115, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Pasay City from 2015 to 2023, then as Executive Judge of the RTC, Pasay City. He also served as Commissioner of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos from 2010 to 2015.

Justice Acebido held the post of Presiding Judge of Branch 41, RTC, Cagayan de Oro before his appointment to the CA. He has served the bench for 16 years as RTC judge. A Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano Awardee for Judicial Excellence, Justice Acebido also previously worked as a prosecutor, Public Attorney, and senior legal officer at the Commission on Human Rights. He fills the post vacated by retired CA Justice Victoria Isabel A. Paredes.
