ગુજરાતમાં વધુ એક એવી દુર્ઘટના જ્યા મધ્યમ કે ગરીબ વર્ગના લોકો બે ઘડીની મોજ માટે ગયા હોય અને મોત લઈને આવે ! બધે કારણ એ જ કે મળતિયાઓને જ ફરી ફરી કોન્ટ્રાક્ટ મળે, તંત્રવાહકો ને નેતાઓ અધિકારીઓ કોઈ જવાબદારી સમજવાને બદલે આંખ આડા કાન કરી ભ્રષ્ટાચાર ચલાવે ને ભોગ બને નાગરિકો, જેની સંખ્યા ભારતમાં આમે બહુ બધી ને પાછા મોટા ભાગના સહનશીલ. કોવિડ જેવો કાળ પણ સાચી ફરિયાદનો સામૂહિક અવાજ ઉઠાવવાને બદલે ચૂપ રહે, ભૂલી જાય કે ઉપર બેઠેલાઓને સામે ઝૂકીને એમને જ મોટા કરે. પાછા કહેવા આવે કે તમે કેમ અવાજ નથી ઉઠાવતા. સુરતના તક્ષશિલાકાંડ હોય, મોરબીની માનવસર્જિત બિલકુલ નહિ એવી ઝૂલતા પુલની દુર્ઘટના હોય કે વડોદરાના હરણીમાં ડૂબી ગયેલા માસૂમોની ચીસો હોય .. દરેક વખતે દિલ દુખ્યું છે એટલું જ નહી. કોવિડ હોય,મજૂરોનું માઇગ્રેશન હોય , વીજળી કે રોડના ખાડાની સમસ્યા હોય, અખડતા ઢોર કે અકસ્માત આડેધડ ઉતાવળે શરૂ કરાયેલ એરપોર્ટ હોય... હું એકમાત્ર, રીપિટ એકમાત્ર મેઈનસ્ટ્રીમ ગુજરાતી લેખક છું જે આના પર લખતો બોલતો હોય કોઈને કેવું લાગશે એવી પ્રવા વિના. પણ આપણા ટોળા તો માત્ર જ્ઞાતિ, ધર્મ કે કળાના મુદ્દે લાગણી દુભાવી રસ્તા પર આવશે. નાગરિક હિત ખાતર વાત કરનાર તો ટ્રોલિયા ટપોરી ગેંગના નિશાન પર હોય, જે ભગત મંડળી ને લીધે જનતાની હાલાકીનો અવાજ સાચો ટોચ પર જતો નથી. આજે રાજકોટમાં ગેમ ઝોનમાં લાગી ભીષણ આગ, અને 25 કેટલા મૃતદેહો ઓળખી ન શકાય એવી હાલતમાં મળ્યા ને બાકી તો હજુ ચાલુ છે. નબળી ગુણવત્તાના પતરા ઓગળી જતા કોઈ બહાર ના આવી શક્યું ને બાળકો સહિત બિચારા ભડથું થઈ ગયા એવા પ્રાથમિક અહેવાલો છે. સ્વજનો સિવાય ફરી બધા બઘું ભૂલી જશે. ડિજિટલ હેડલાઇન મેનેજમેન્ટ સિવાય સમજ માટે કશું નહિ કરનારા કોઈક સાચું કહે એને બોલતી બંધ કરાવવા મનફાવે એમ પાછળ પડીને ટ્રોલ કરશે. પણ વારંવાર જે જીવથી જાય છે ને બાળકો હોમાઈ જાય છે વગર વાંકે મોટાઓની કટકી ખાયકીમાં એનું શું. આપણી પાસે આવી ઘટનાની અલાયદી હેલ્પલાઇન પણ નથી. પત્રકાર મિત્રોએ પોલીસના વ્યક્તિગત નંબર આપ્યા છે એ શેર કરું છું. હોસ્પિટલ પોલીસ ચોકી 0281 2447294
