Eagles rookie WR Makai Lemon said that he will wear #9 in Philadelphia.

Lemon is the first Eagles player to wear #9 since Nick Foles last wore it in 2018.

Foles spoke to Lemon and gave him his blessing to wear #9 and the rookie WR thanked him for that.

Lemon joked that DeVonta Smith told him that he wasn’t going to give up #6.

He also said that there is no significance to the jersey number but that he wanted the lowest jersey number possible.
