Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine’s Starlink systems remain capped at 161 km/h (100 mph), according to Christopher Miller of the Financial Times. He said exceeding the limit “causes the Starlink connection to cut out completely, resulting in the loss of the drone,” adding that interceptor drones can’t function.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine tested whether SpaceX is truly facing technical issues, as the U.S. side told Kyiv, by sending vehicles with Starlink terminals into EU territory. He said they moved at more than 180 km/h and the systems “worked perfectly.” He said Ukraine has logs and evidence, and concluded the restrictions apply inside Ukraine but not in the EU, which he called a “planned operation.”

FYI, Putin has been ruling Russia since the last century and the last millennium (literally).

He should have retired back in 2008, but he has long since exterminated even the slightest competition, was literally handpicked as a successor, never spent a single second building any kind of political career, and even openly rewrote his country's constitution, resetting his presidential term count to zero so he could stay in power for life.

And now he is entertaining himself by waging the biggest bloodbath in Europe since Adolf Hitler.

Somehow, I don't see any hysterical cries of "it's time for him to go" from all these newly minted incredibly knowledgeable experts on electoral law.

Two ships sank in the Strait of Hormuz this week after being hit in Iranian attacks, The Washington Post reports. The first is the Singapore registered container ship GFS Pride (photo below), attacked Tuesday. Singapore’s port authority said it caught fire, all crew were evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The second, an unnamed bulk carrier, sank Wednesday after an Iranian attack last month, according to the International Maritime Organization.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center reported three other ships hit Tuesday, marking at least four vessels that day, three of them container ships. Singapore’s port authority also reported the GFS Giselle being hit Wednesday with hull damage the result. It reached a safe anchorage under its own power.

The Post says Iran has struck more than 14 vessels in the strait over the past two weeks, and calls October one of the most violent months since the war began February 28th. It says the attacks have risen in response to the U.S. push to increase oil flows, which brought flows back near prewar levels last month. U.S. forces are protecting the increased traffic with air cover.

Last night, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck an airfield in the Voronezh region. Four Su-34 aircraft were destroyed and two more Su-34s were hit. The Russians used them to terrorize our people. These very warplanes were ready to launch new attacks on Ukraine and were loaded with aerial bombs.

Our Long Neptune missile was used to strike the target. I thank the warriors of the Ukrainian Navy for their precision!

Our long-range sanctions also reached a site in the Oryol region used to store and launch attack drones. A target was also hit in the Black Sea.

These are our justified responses to all of Russia’s terror against Ukraine. Russia is dragging out the war, so our long-range operations will continue.
