@juliebrunet8730 Miss Julie! (Mrs.) I’m [email protected]
I made a little woodcarving inspired by Cajun Night Before Christmas and couldn’t help but think of you. Such fond memories! Hope you are well. Cathy and I are still at it at 45. Write me an email. I avoid X.
@bfraze @Catholic_NY @CatholicNewsSvc This is really sad news. @Catholic_NY staff are so passionate, so devoted to serving their readers. It sends a negative signal across the continent to other dioceses about their own media efforts. Both/and digital and print seems to serve people best in this era.
@jscroggins Truthfully, we ALL make lots of mistakes all of the time. I'm sure our detractors could name then for us! (Yes, you, if you're reading.) But really the mistakes are a convenient story for the firing squad, or maybe just a nagging insecurity of the regretted.. Better to move on.
@jscroggins@BarbaraKB@jowyang Was at Finneytown Kroger at 6 am just after the "Cincinnati blizzard." Empty store. I found everything I came for--no shortages this time. Clerk and I chatted across the masks. She told me that, citywide, 80 Kroger employees have died of COVID. Unreal.
Everyone's got their favorite Giving Tuesday cause. Mine is Glenmary Home Missioners, one of the truly bright and hopeful spots in today's Catholic Church. https://t.co/MNwRzF7lX0
@917wvxu Let's get over our politics on this one. Coronavirus doesn't care if you're red or blue, it just wants to infect you. If everybody wears a mask, everybody is a lot safer, say infectious disease docs. Let's get with it.
A Hand Washing Prayer
part 2
I know, dear Lord, that what we do
To the least of your people, we do unto you.
So I wash my hands as an act of love,
For the poor, the helpless, and for You above.

A Hand Washing Prayer part 1
(pray slowly as you scrub--it will take about 20 seconds)
O God, I’m here to wash my hands,
Let me be mindful of the poor in our land.
For the sick, the suffering, for those in pain.We raise a prayer, we call your name!

Increasingly bellicose rhetoric from the Trump administration under the guidance of Mr. Bolton have meant a sudden surge of alarm in the region. Will it mean another war in the Middle East? https://t.co/qof1Xgxrp5
@JamesMartinSJ Amen to James Martin sj for his fine work spreading the gospel--even when it makes us uncomfortable. It's a great Christian tradition. As for me, I'm going to inspect a few planks on my own eye before writing about others'.
@JamesMartinSJ Even if it were innocent, if my kid came home from a party with this type of marking, or if any organisation whatsoever did something like this i would protest loudly. It's like using a swastika, around long before Hitler: not acceptable anymore. The association is there.
@JamesMartinSJ Thank you, Jim. That seems so obvious! Vows are to be taken deeply seriously, by us married couples and by our friends vowed to celibacy. People who live otherwise we call cheaters. This is not rocket science.
