Our NY electric bills went up again this past June 1st.
Do you know why?
These are Public Service Commission-approved rate hikes that affect NYSEG and RG&E customers. The increase in your bill will be reflected in the delivery charge by the end of the month.
The anticipated increases are as follows:
NYSEG electric: 3.7%
NYSEG gas: 0.5%
RG&E electric: 4.0%
RG&E gas: 1.5%
Our electric bills are unaffordable in this state because New York politicians virtue-signaled their way to a place where they are preparing us for power outages this summer during "peak energy demands."
The delivery charge on your electric bill is being used to court foreign solar and wind developers, through New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, which is sitting on an excess of $2 billion+ dollars. These solar/wind developers need to be promised tens of millions in subsidies and credits if they are going to build in this state, and NYSERDA is sitting on YOUR money to socialize the failed rollout of an intermittent form of energy that hasn't lowered our electric bills or improved our grid.
In fact, since ORES started building its ecological detention centers, our electric bills have dramatically gone UP.
Notice the customers most affected by rate increases are the same customers that live in the highest density of ORES wind and solar facilities.
Commercial solar generates at 15% of its annual potential in Upstate NY, closer to 10-12% out in Western New York. This isn't a fix for our grid and they know it. But it was never about fixing the grid to begin with. It was always about cashing in on the biggest money-laundering scheme that has ever occurred between our state and foreign companies.
You and I are paying for it via our electric bills and through our taxes.
I have done many investigations into statins starting around 2004.
The facts are shocking.
And then my husband was harmed by them.
Who caught it?
Not his doctors. I did.
They didn't even ask about his statin use when he had debilitating leg pain.
It should have been the first thing they asked.
They gave him shots in his knees and acted mystified when it didn't help.
Turns out he had developed a potentially fatal side effect called rhabdomyalosis.
Ony because I was reporting the stories on statins did I recognize what might be wrong.
Since I first began looking into statins, serious side effects the manufacturers initially denied have been added to the label.
Many esteemed doctors are ignorant of these, partly because of how and what they're taught in med school (see my book "Follow the Science."
In this threat I will link to some reporting on statins.
Helen Andrews made a bold point:
The more women dominate the legal system, the more justice risks becoming emotional storytelling and compassion theater instead of cold, neutral due process.
She points to Title IX campus courts and some MeToo cases where feelings and narratives often overrode evidence and procedure.
This is a sensitive but important conversation about how demographic shifts quietly reshape institutions. When emotion and group protection replace impartial rules, the rule of law weakens, and public safety eventually pays the price.
Do you think the growing feminization of law and other institutions is changing how justice is applied?
They’ve taken procedures that in the past could almost be counted by one person with a telephone - like the Iowa caucus - and created layers of mysterious/unnecessary complication that have the look of corruption even if they’re not corrupt. A change with no possible upside
BANNON: We have $300 trillion of debt at all levels globally, and we're about to have the world's largest margin call.
Here in the United States we have a literally insane bet, a highly leveraged bet, on productivity increases from AI.
By definition those productivity increases would have to come with mass layoffs. Full stop.
Basically AI models were subsidized to show adoption growth curves to raise capital. Then they needed to IPO so they changed pricing model to enhance S-1 filings to show a path to profitability. Now customers are pausing.
Will it matter in the short term as Wall Street hypes into IPO window?
Wow - the OpenAI-Andreessen-Palantir SuperPAC created a fake account claiming to be an anti-AI doomer saying various unhinged things.
This crazy "false flag" behavior is only undermined by incompetence - they were rarely able to get more a few hundred views on each fake tweet.
Funny how they don't want the "least cautious" actors building a killer AGI. They would rather build the AGI that exterminates humans. I guess they must think they are immune from the consequences if they build it. @So8res
Google is planning to release 64 MILLION Wolbachia-infected mosquitoes into neighborhoods in Florida and California.
This is reckless, irreversible biological experimentation on American communities and our ecosystems — with no off-switch.
Florida recorded just 6 West Nile cases last year. The risk is negligible, yet they’re proceeding anyway. These altered mosquitoes could disrupt birds, bats, and entire food chains with consequences we cannot undo.
Enough of Big Tech playing God with our environment and our health.
Tell the EPA to REJECT this dangerous experiment. (Link in comments.)
Public comments close tomorrow, June 5th.
Implausible but real career path: become a Nazi, parade around saying insane things, pitch yourself to the SPLC as an informant, get paid the big bucks. https://t.co/dMCnOtNW5H
Trolling? Data represents a safe and marginal application of AI/robotics. The humans in Star Trek are still fully in control and have agency. Current AI development is happening without hardly any thought for safety or human prosperity at all. All of the billionaire elites are pushing hard for AGI so they can first eliminate what they consider "unproductive" humans from the workforce and then eliminate them altogether from the planet.
There are certain weird mysteries that periodically spring to mind that seem to have been entirely dropped from the public mind, e.g. that FTX was largely a Democratic money laundering operation that paid legions of Covidians including oddball academics who pushed Effective Altruism and also data hounds at OurWorldinData. No one cares.
I find it unbelievable that, less than two weeks before blaming the violence against Sam Altman on doomer rhetoric, @NathanLeamerDC's Build American AI appears to have been supporting the account @jonathandoomer to make posts like this one in response to warnings about AI:
Robin DiAngelo has been MIA ever since I had this heart to heart conversation with her. It’s a shame. I really thought we had a breakthrough moment here.
Sam Altman, Dario Amodei, Demis Hassabis and many others have signed a letter urging Congress to increase security on orders of synthetic nucleic acids - and the equipment needed to make them - as models continue to become increasingly bio-capable.
Here’s your daily reminder the Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) and its Interim Executive Director, Jason Zehr, signed a final permit to build a 100MW solar complex on all 4 sides of a Wildlife Management Area.
It’s a region that carries numerous environmental distinctions. It’s so ecologically significant, in fact, that our own state’s @NYSDEC dispatched personnel to the grassland every week this past winter to watch and count the endangered species present.
But for some reason, a foreign corporation out of Canada is allowed to help itself to some of the most environmentally sensitive habitat in Upstate NY.
By ORES signing that final permit for Fort Edward Solar, it essentially voided the environmental law of our state. New York State broke its own environmental law for a money-laundering scheme between @KathyHochul and foreign corporations.
We’re not going to settle for that. We’re raising money to bring forth more litigation against these eco-terrorists now running our state and DEC.
