UPDATE: Denver’s Office of Emergency Management tells me that the city’s tornado sirens were sounded inadvertently. This is the latest in a long string of emergency notification errors by the City of Denver.
The family of Matthew Silverstone, the critically injured survivor of the Evergreen H.S. shooting, would like for the community to know more about their loved one.

HAPPENING NOW: 1 person is dead and 12 people still need rescuing at the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine near Cripple Creek where an elevator malfunctioned.
The Teller County Sheriff’s Office wouldn’t give us details of what caused the issue - just that it didn’t collapse. @9NEWS
