@Shapiro_WTHS A3. The unknown doesn’t have to be negative. Look forward to the unknown for your best friend was once unknown to you but now you love them. The unknown can be exciting. #teachpos
@Shapiro_WTHS A2. I like to use classroom group incentives like certain activities. My kids really like making and having access to healthy meals they makes themselves. I like teaching them how to make those types of meals. #teachpos
@Shapiro_WTHS BQ. Exercise is always my go to. On my rest days I like to go out in nature to get some fresh air. When I can, I like to combine them. I’ll also meditate, garden, read, craft, color, clean, cuddle with my animals, self reflect, cool. I’ve found lots of outlets for my well-being.
@Shapiro_WTHS A3. Remember to breathe during stressful times. Take time for yourself. You won’t be helping anyone if you haven’t taken care of yourself first. #Teachpos
@Shapiro_WTHS A2. Remembering my why or my passion reinvigorates me and helps with engagement in the classroom. This makes the students I interact with want to do better and it grows across to other classrooms. That reminds other teacher of their passion. #Teachpos
@Shapiro_WTHS BQ. When I get home the first thing I do is a workout. There is a direct link between movement and emotional well-being through endorphin release. Endorphins are one of the feel good hormones. #shapehpe
@Shapiro_WTHS A3. Take the time to get to truly know your students. Building those foundational relationships will change everything for them and most likely you too. There are too many kids out there without people who love them for who they are. #shapehpe
@Shapiro_WTHS Agreed especially in a time when social media has practically taken over the way people talk to each other. Don’t get me wrong social media can be great. I love it but when it interferes with the way our communities actually interact with each other…..
@Shapiro_WTHS I agree. Five minutes can make a difference if you just take that tiny bit of time to realign your thoughts and feelings and how you respond to both.
@Shapiro_WTHS A2. By starting with our own. We can not serve our students to the best of our ability if we ourselves do not keep a balance in ourselves. #shapehpe
@Shapiro_WTHS A1. There is a balance to our well-being. If our social life is nonexistent our emotional and mental well being take a hit and Vice verse. This can include our physical well being as well.
