@RyanHanaWWP You gotta think Kane probably leaving would give SY the wake up call to realize he can’t compete this year unless the Larkin deal directly impacts what Cat wants to do then it gets dicey.
@willie_lutz@HockeySnobElite That’s not getting it done. It’ll need to be 4 firsts in value. Not sure who their top prospects are but I suspect it’d be 2 firsts, a high end prospect and roster player like Kent.
@DrJesseMorse They put on Ramos to have 2 strikers on to try and score. They tied it up and didn’t need 2 strikers any more as they were getting dominated in the midfield after so they subbed in a mid. Obvi you’re going to sub the guy who played 81 mins not the guy who just came on.
@RyanHanaWWP So it’s been reported Yzerman doesn’t want futures. Fine fair. But we’re unsure if he’d want Robbo? The ultimate win now piece? If this is the case who does he want lol
@OhNyquist I’ve thought about this, but you gotta think Larks and Zach woulda discussed this and if it was possible we wouldn’t be in this situation right now because Larks would wanna play wit his buddy
@deathmtl2474 He’s a 23 year old AHL player who’s missed almost half of his last 2 seasons who’s no longer waiver exempt. Hes not ahead of the likes of Mazur, MBN, Danielson and if he didn’t make the roster out of camp we would lost him to waivers for free,
@Woodsauce24@tmatthewshockey Ottawa traded Brady because he told them he was gonna walk for free when he became a FA and they wanted to maximize the return. Larkin is 5 years away from FA. If he wants to get traded he needs to be flexible. Whereas Ottawa didn’t have a choice bc they’d lose him for free
@fuzzychris91 Ya if they get market value for him, I think wings fans will get over it eventually. You could argue this was probably for the best based on the roster potential.
I agree on the 3 teams though. That has to expand.
@fuzzychris91 Ya but there shud be some give and take. After last yrs comments he basically forced his GM to make a move at the TDL giving away futures just for him put up 0 5v5 points in March, publicly commit to the team then demand a trade to 1 of 3 teams 2 months later. Thats weak.
@Rainytuesday3@BruinsWyan2@puckempire Not only this but Larkin complains they didn’t make a deal at the TDL last year forcing Steve’s hand this year to trade futures just for him to disappear again than demand out. Weak af.
@BruinsWyan2@puckempire They have collapsed 3 straight times in March. Is the captain and best player not at the forefront of that? They were in first place in the East in like January and Larkin went on to score 1 5 on 5 goal the rest of the season. He deserves blame too not just management,
@leafsmaxxing@truthte52543233@RealDonaghy13@iamhockey1 Detroit has Gibson and 2 top 5 goalie prospects plus another prospect who may be better than both right now lol so ya I don’t think a goalie is included in there and Toronto is not trading the 1OA for him.
@Capitano_Levi@ITruth98 Yet he consistently scored 25+ goals a season before getting to Juve. You don’t do that unless you have quality and before anyone says oh Ligue 1, he had 9 goals and 4 assists in 14 CL appearances last year.
@RedWingsDoc @OctopusThrower_ I mean you could say the same thing about Kane. But the reality is Malkin was over a PPG player this year and we need scoring.
