@pitchfork This album is awful. And there are few bigger Jack White fans than me. Each album after Blunderbuss has gotten worse and worse as heโs gotten richer and richer. Too comfortable, him. This album tries to hard. No breath. Jack White needs to go sit back in that little room.
@Rusizi_7y Itโs wild how I seem to be the only one in the world who sees what this epidemic of fake videos is gonna do to society in the next decade or less.
@ChicagoContrar1@ChicagosMayor@Williamjkelly Anti-black?! I thought he was gonna say anti-mayor! He whipped out that race card so fast and illogically I got a paper cut on my thumb.
Kurt Vonnegut explained conflict in one sentence.
"He said: make sure on every page, every character wants something, even if it's only a glass of water.
And to me is the distilled essence of writing, and that's conflict. It's what you want."
"I look at a page and say, do I have Kurt's advice covered here? Does everybody want something?"
"I had Bosch as a smoker, and it's a society where you're not supposed to smoke. He always wanted a cigarette, but he couldn't have one. That was my little way of making sure there was conflict on every page."
-Michael Connelly
@IlliniJen People are missing the point. Teens donโt need structure to deter their mob actions. They want to do whatโs bad. They want to rebel. Examples must be made, and the hand holding needs to stop.
