@richmintz Agree this stretch is very well done and an improvement over the design on 25-31 St. University Place next to continue the design downtown?! (CB-2 requested this years ago https://t.co/Ef7uBM4qwz)
TIL there is no requirement for NYC's mayor to be a city resident (prior to election day). Feels like a huge oversight in the city charter that needs urgent correction. Source: https://t.co/cSDx2HEDN8
Another delay on seperating the Ped & Cyclist path on the QBB is completely unacceptable. Current conditions are not an accident waiting to happen, but an accident that's happening over and over again. NYC's cyclists, runners and walkers deserve better! https://t.co/rSWFT43Joy
Periodic reminder that @NYC_DOT's solution to a lengthly stretch of Greenway construction in 2024 is "cyclists use roadway" despite the adagent roadway which could easily accomidate a temporary protected bike lane.
Exciting East River Greenway News!

@Streetfilms@NYC_DOT@OpenPlans@StreetsblogNYC I know the answer is to address community feedback (concern trolling) but we need @NYC_DOT to be bold and build this type of important safety infrastructure right the first time.
@Streetfilms@NYC_DOT@OpenPlans@StreetsblogNYC Why build in this mountable depression at all?! Responding emergency vehicles are fully capable of using the roadway as designed and planning a safe route is an important part of a emergency vehicle operator's job (👋former EMT of 9 years here).
