Bit gutted Egypt have got this far. Mate of mine has been backing them every match and told me to get involved.
Didn't bother as it just sounded like a pyramid scheme.
Deschamps has brashly taken all of his best players and fashioned them into the most lethal attacking unit in world football, sure.
But do they have the squad balance, leadership and cohesion provided by the likes of Dan Burn, Jordan Henderson and Anthony Gordon? I think not.
West Ham are basically a template example of what happens when you get recruitment wrong too many years in a row. The way that they used the Rice & Kudus fees (£160m) is what decided their fate. 2 or 3 good buys (Fernandes, Summerville, Diouf) is not enough especially when you recruit so poorly at CB and striker. Amateurly-ran clubs will get found out in the modern Premier League. West Ham need a change of ownership or else it will be the same story, even if they do get promoted next season.
I was confident I could of played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had. I’ve been left shocked and gutted by the decision.
I’ve loved nothing more than putting that shirt on and representing my country over the years.
I wish the players, all the best this summer 🏴
FUNNY INCIDENT!
PGMOL’s Chris Kavanagh mistakenly — or deliberately — blew the whistle in the 87th minute of West Ham vs Arsenal.
He seemingly did not know why he had blown it, looked towards his assistant, and then awarded Arsenal a free-kick for nothing.
The West Ham bench complained, and he sent one of them off, seemingly to cover up the blunder.
A six-minute VAR delay with 25 replays to decide which of the multiple set-piece wrestling manoeuvres was clearly and obviously worthy of punishment. A fittingly decisive moment for the 2025-26 Premier League season.
