@LVCenterEdX@jlevine80 @AshleyLVUSD A6. It’s important to listen to their concerns but also to stand firm with your beliefs. Take in advice but do what you feel is best #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX@jlevine80 @AshleyLVUSD A5: i would say making sure I provide them with a strong enough foundation so that they can learn from one another and extend their learning to new depths. Making sure at day 1 to start implementation #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX A4: This allows S's the opportunity to develop their thinking at a deeper/more complex level with their peers. S lead inquiry is so important. It can be hard letting go of control but it is important for S to learn form each other #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX@jlevine80 @AshleyLVUSD A3: My favorite type of social media for communicating is ParentSquare, our school's communication website. It is very easy to use. However, for posting pictures, etc, I like ClassDojo which also has a messaging system. #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX@jlevine80 @AshleyLVUSD A2: I like to post the S's classwork and projects to display their hard work. It is important to show students to be proud of their work. Also using SeeSaw, the S's can post and publish their own work! #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX A1: not sure if im understanding, but I first got into MySpace (haha) to keep connected with friends, it then grew to FaceBook, instagram, etc. keeping connected is what first drew me in #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX@jlevine80 @AshleyLVUSD Intro- Jessica Gant, 2nd grade sumac, I hope to shift my idea towards having a student centered class; ie flexible seating, limited homework, etc. #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX Last year, I had students fill out a version of "all about me" at the beginning of the year, but more-so geared toward academics :) still thinking of some other ideas! #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX A5: Graded assignments show what the S's understand. However, from personal experience, some of the assessments I gave last year i feel didn't completely assess what my S's knew. This is where grading and assessing becomes questionable #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX A4: I think the purpose of grading for Admin is accountability. For P's and S's I think they believe it is going to help them get better grades and for T's its wanting S's to have an extension of the CW #LVCHAT
@LVCenterEdX A2: but remind them that they are being challenged in class. Would refer to the developmental point of giving endless homework. Could refer S to an enrichment website such as Khan, FrontRow, Raz, etc. #LVCHAT
