THE ODYSSEY overperformed again yesterday and recorded the biggest non-holiday Monday of 2026 with nearly $19M, surpassing TOY STORY 5 first Monday ($17.3M).

THE DAY AFTER. It was such a distinct pleasure, so immensely satisfying, to be able to report to you yesterday that our second quarter of 2026 with $321.4 million of Adjusted EBITDA was the single best quarterly result in AMC’s entire 106-year history.

With 71 million guests in our theatres, we also had the highest revenues in AMC history, and managed our costs well.

We have generated $228 million more EBITDA in the first half of 2026 than we did in the first half last year.

We finished the quarter with $778 million of cash on hand.

The best way to silence the critics and make the naysayers irrelevant is to produce undeniably good results, in this case for Q2 record results, and that is precisely what AMC has been doing throughout 2026.

To those Apes who stood by us along the way, and especially to those who are with us still, I am not exaggerating in saluting the role you all played in saving moviegoing and saving movie theatres and saving AMC.

Because of your support, your children and grandchildren should be able to continue to enjoy… in theatres… seeing dazzling images on our huge silver screens, just as people have done to their great delight for more than a century.

Of course @John_Hempton is telling us to buy more shares. He knows a ton of $AMC trading happens through dark pools. He’ll never tell you to go watch a movie, buy concessions, and load up on merch. None of them will. They’ll say things like, “GO FIND A BUY BUTTON.”
They can’t short fundamentals, so they don’t want you actually supporting the company’s business.

But buying shares in the secondary market doesn’t directly fund the company’s fundamentals unless it’s a primary offering, where AMC actually receives the cash (through dilution). Those are just shares changing hands between investors. If everything wasn’t going through dark pools, we’d actually see real price discovery, but that’s not the case.

We did not have the highest quarterly revenue and adjusted EBITDA in 106 years because we were all buying AMC shares. It happened because we fundamentally supported the company we are invested in. So when you come across the group of people who are constantly trying to snuff out the loudest voices in this community (the ones promoting fundamentals) while they’re yelling “go find a buy button,” make sure you understand what their real narratives may be.

I do continue to buy $AMC shares, because how can you not add to your baskets at these prices? I want to be ready for when real price discovery happens. I will also continue to fundamentally support the company I’m invested in so I can actually get that price discovery.

We can’t have AMC shares if we don’t have @AMCTheatres, and you can’t have AMC theaters unless people are actually supporting the company fundamentally. I know it’s a wild concept for certain pea-brained individuals around here to grasp, but hopefully they finally understand how wrong, wrong, wrong they were.

Walking out of The Odyssey, all I could think was... this is why I still love movie theaters.
For a few hours, the outside world disappeared. No distractions, no phones, just an incredible story on a giant screen with a room full of people experiencing it together.
Christopher Nolan knows how to make movies that stay with you long after the credits.
If you get the chance, see it in IMAX. I'll be seeing it again with my son on the largest screen.
