Smart Money Reversal Strategy (SMC)
A Smart Money Reversal is a trading setup where price changes direction after institutions ("smart money") manipulate liquidity and enter large positions.
How to Identify a Smart Money Reversal
Identify the Trend
Determine whether the market is bullish or bearish.
Locate Liquidity
Look for equal highs, equal lows, previous swing highs/lows, or obvious support and resistance.
Retail traders often place stop losses around these areas.
Wait for a Liquidity Sweep
Price moves above highs or below lows to trigger stop losses.
This is often called a liquidity grab.
Look for a Change of Character (ChoCH)
After the sweep, price breaks market structure in the opposite direction.
This signals a potential reversal.
Find an Order Block or Fair Value Gap (FVG)
Wait for price to retrace into the institutional zone.
Enter the Trade
Enter on confirmation from the order block or FVG.
Place your stop loss beyond the swept liquidity.
Bullish Smart Money Reversal
Price sweeps sell-side liquidity (below lows).
Market forms a bullish ChoCH/BOS.
Enter long on retracement.
Bearish Smart Money Reversal
Price sweeps buy-side liquidity (above highs).
Market forms a bearish ChoCH/BOS.
Enter short on retracement.

Wait For Opposing Price Delivery
Wait For Displacement In Direction Of Weekly DOL
Find FVG In Displacement Price Swing
Ideally Enter In 3-4am, 10-11am or 2-3pm

Repeat.
