@dfat How does one get through to talk to someone at the passport office about a passport application I lodged 8wks ago and are travelling in less than a week? I was on hold for 2hrs and got hung up on! There is no where to make an appointment at the passport offices?? Help!

@barbiedutter @dfat @spenderallegra @TimWattsMP I wouldn't bother emailing them if it's urgent. They won't reply.
I had to spend hours on hold and in line at the passport office for them to do anything unfortunately. Try calling your local federal MP's office. They will help escalate it.

@GrinbergSimone @NatalyiaWallace @dfat No I haven't. After waiting on hold for 4hrs we got through to talk to someone who escalated it, but no promises apparently. I did email or federal MP and they were great. They're going to escalate it as well.
