I grew up as an 8-bit kid. The Apple IIe was my privileged companion, in addition to the woods outside my house.

We were mostly a COMPUTE! and Family Computing house. But,
I noticed something reading through old BYTE magazines.

Artificial Intelligence make this kind of mass media subtext analysis possible. Whether it is racist or political dog whistles that can lead to violence, or this.

And this is important, AI will lead to millions of software engineers out of work, looking for hope.

But the social issues and awkwardness had unintended consequences, to both womwn and men trying to set normal social cues for invitations. It takes strength to deal with that.

Covid and other things messed up social expectations around invitations and being welcome.

We needed a good healthcare and public education response. I know how important that is, since I wasn't afraid of vaccines as a kid because of my parents.

I assume we are going to see other security and emergency services have their own cleaning house moments. I'd rather not be part of those needlessly dramatic discussions afterwards, but I'll see it through to make sure rules that respect citizen choice and rights are followed.

The DHS gets a lot of flack. But I'd like to call attention to an early incident where they found 400 TSA agents stealing from luggage. They were fired.

That's good, regardless of how it was seen at the time. That greatly reduces the incentive to steal.

I have an issue where vastly underspecified project requirements are leading to hedging on platform choice.

Which is leading to increased attack surface. And stress.

Docker mitigates it somewhat. But it's a planning issue.

I'll take responsibility in the end. I ran the tests.

I've created an experimental branch of the OpenAPI Generator to generate Rust reqwless client code.

reqwless is a Rust HTTP client crate targeting embedded.

This branch also includes OpenAPI schema vendor extensions to describe Rust lifetimes.

Everytime I see a sign about "Not Going to Lie" from an intelligence service I realize how much power they have. How abusive it is.

If a person did that to another they said were an equal you would know it's a lie.

Why that last sentence? It matters.

Caring for the elderly is all of our problems. And helping them feel secure in their old age and after is a burden we all share.

I do my part, but I can't keep doing it alone as we all age.

I love that our libraries at Port St. Lucie allow patrons to checkout blood pressure kits.

I just tried it and they even have Bluetooth!

Mine was really high just now, but not 180 where I had to go to the hospital before.

When we force ourselves to smile, we internalize it. It's a wonderful tool.

I wonder if people are forced to act angry, they internalize it.

Does that lead to more dangerous automotive drivers on the road at night?

I applaud the National Reconnaissance Office for bragging about their capabilities. Capabilities that protect us today. And the information sharing that the Patriot Act helped bring about. Bragging was important to them and helped me understand what is important in this world.
