I’m 54, a physicist, have spent decades using mathematics to study the universe, solve problems, and build things.
If your work touches numbers, now or in the future, and you want to learn math properly, this thread shows a from-the-ground-up math you’ll actually need:

One group deliberately put themselves in danger by threatening police officers.
The other includes SOME of the actual victims—people who were harmed by illegal immigrants who aren’t supposed to be in our country at all.
Yet the left directs its outrage selectively, and the hypocrisy is both exhausting and morally bankrupt.
@realivany@aigkenham I was instrumental in getting the LCROSS mission to the moon (ensuring the RL10 on the Centaur stage was properly trimmed and functioning) and I’m a biblical creationist. When I worked in rocket test, I was surrounded by like minded believers.
@aigkenham I am a biblical creationist. I’m also a flight test engineer and former rocket scientist. I was a part of the team that put LCROSS on the moon (ensuring the RL10 was trimmed and functioning properly). My creationism has not restrained my engineering in the least.
For those of you not used to dealing with James’s brand of Universalism, let me leave you with a very uncomfortable thought:
If there were more than one way to heaven, then God was cruel for allowing his son Jesus to die on the cross.
Just sit with that for a minute.
As a MAGA Republican, I’m horrified by the death of Renee Good.
- I’m horrified Joe Biden allowed in millions of unvetted illegals that now must be rounded up at enormous cost to taxpayers.
- I’m horrified that activist left-wing organizations have convinced mentally unwell citizens it’s their job to somehow interfere in this process.
- I’m horrified that Governor Walz and Mayor Frey allow these groups to operate with impunity in Minnesota, defying federal law and placing these confused vigilantes in harm’s way.
- And I’m horrified that the media continues to conceal the truth and run cover for the political party that created this mess.
Mrs. Good’s death was a national tragedy by any measure. And one that by any measure lays squarely at the feet of a Democrat Party that has become far too militant.
Anyone truly interested in justice for Renee will pursue the deradicalization of the American left as vigorously as possible.
Because until then the chaos will continue.
As a 30-year law enforcement officer who has investigated hundreds of shootings, been involved in shootings, and is an expert in this field, I will debunk @krassenstein’s narrative and lies.
1) The agent was legally attempting to detain the suspect as she was breaking the law and not complying with officers' commands. The agent was acting within the law and, if needed, could forcefully detain her.
2) The agent has every right to draw his weapon when he believes a threat is imminent.
3) Since Brian has never been in a life-threatening situation and NEVER had to make a “split-second” decision, he wouldn’t understand that the agent wasn’t looking at which way her tires were turned when the vehicle barreled toward him.
Mind you, this happened in a hundredth of a second, and a decision had to be made that Brian could never comprehend.
Brian has the luxury of sitting in an air-conditioned office in his mini-mansion in a gated neighborhood protected by armed security, judging someone who has more courage than Brian could ever fathom.
Fortunately, state and federal laws understand this and the agent involved will NEVER be charged with a crime as he was completely JUSTIFIED.
Mises "demonstrated that Nazism was not a deviation from socialism, but one of its most logical expressions"
"Socialism, fascism, and Nazism are not opposites; they are variations of the same creed: the omnipotent state"
Cry harder, leftists

If you’re a woke evangelical pastor or an ethnocentric Christian nationalist pastor,
selling your soul for the approval of bitter black people or bitter white people isn’t worth the cost of giving an account to God.
Scott, on that being a good person to earn Heaven bit, as a fellow cancer fighter, I have tremendous news for you. That is actually not what gets you into heaven. Because if it were, no one would qualify. Only someone who has led a perfect life merits heaven. And only one such person has existed through all of human history.
But thankfully, he used his perfection to sacrifice himself on the cross for us precisely because we are not good, none of us. None of us has lived a good life. And that is the freedom we have in Christ. We know that by following him, we get to wear his righteousness before the judgment throne. And it is THAT— confessing Christ as our Lord and believing in his sacrifice for us—that gets us into Heaven.
Southern Baptists should pay attention.
Who was the point of the spear on keeping this stuff hidden? Your @ERLC's President at the time @FBLeatherwood.
Is anyone on the Trustee board able to speak to whether or not he was doing this in explicit league with the Biden admin?
@BernieSanders How do you guarantee this tax wouldn’t eventually hit all of us? After all, the original plan associated with the 16th Amendment was that the income tax would only apply to the extremely wealthy, never to the working class. We can see how well that worked.
@_sorrengailll My niece asked her mother the same question. When she answered in the positive, my niece asked why she couldn’t do so. It resulted in them writing a song about it which will be released in the next couple of weeks.
this is shocking:
> US collects $2.4T in income tax, but spends $1.5T on fraud
> if we didn't have to pay for fraud, only $900b would need to be collected
> this means anyone with less 500k in income could pay *literally $0* in income tax
we don't need to raise taxes. we need to cut fraud
The state is the worst kind of corporation, a corporation that gets your money whether you agree with what they do with it or not. More state power is just adding more perverse incentives.
And with such a terrible system, it's only a matter of time before personnel begin leaving due to the burdens and the workload, as happened everywhere tried from Great Britain to Cuba. State central planning cannot accommodate the pay and demands because they lack pricing signals.
