Curious about Simone de Beauvoir's view of open relationships and polyamory? How her sometimes questionable relationship decisions reflect (or don't!) her theory of love? My article, Beauvoir on Non-Monogamy in Loving Relationships, is out:

I condemn any potential police action on Columbia University's campus. As an educator who personally experienced the over policing of our schools, this is personal to me. We must resist right-wing demagoguery and stop suppressing peaceful protest if we are to keep students safe.
@OrinKerr I think it’s theorized under the heading of usufruct in, e.g., Ripstein, Force and Freedom—the protesters here give it a more communal flavor. I basically agree wirh @postdiscipline & I think the quasi-property claim depends on immediate occupancy of the space by human bodies
I’ve heard:
“The Columbia AAUP held an emergency meeting today, called on the university to drop charges and reinstate the students.
They are organizing to move classes off campus Monday, boycotting graduation, and moving to vote no confidence in the president."
Good.
