Time means nothing
to a broken heart.

In the wreckage
where your laughter used to live,
even the clock goes quiet—
its hands spinning without meaning,
like something trying to escape
but going nowhere.

Days blur.
Months pass.
But none of it moves me forward.

It’s all just noise
against the same sharp weight
lodged in my chest.

Time can’t close this.
It can’t teach my body
how to forget you.
It can’t loosen
what your absence tightened.

The world keeps moving—
people heal,
people change,
people let go.

And I’m still here…

stuck in the moment you left,
watching it replay
like it never ended.

The sun rises—
I feel nothing.

The night falls—
I feel too much.

Some wounds don’t fade.
They settle in.
They learn how to breathe inside you—
quiet, patient,
whispering your name
when everything else is silent.

So let time pass.
Let the calendar pretend
this gets easier.

Because time means nothing
to a heart
that hasn’t stopped
waiting.
