Dear Dad,
I’m writing to you once again on Nov 1st. It’s been 23 years too long. You’re truly missed but your legacy lives on through all the lives you impacted. Today, we celebrate you, 34.
Love,
Jp

I propose we make the 2022-23 school year about learning deceleration.
Let's slow learning down; let's enjoy it; let's give kids time and space to reflect and make decision.
Because the sense of urgency is squeezing all of the humanity--and the joy--out of learning.
It’s important to remind teachers of the incredible ability they have to make a difference in the life of a child whether in person or remote. In spite of challenges, may they be supportive & patient as they encourage students to do their best work & be their best self.
Later this year we’re rolling out these new teacher-requested features in #GoogleMeet:
✋Hand raising
🔇Mute all
🖍️Digital whiteboard
🏝️Custom backgrounds
😄Larger tiled-view
🔑New knocking and access controls
🔒Lock presentation screen & chat

Had a special treat today as my amazing former teaching partner, Marcy Novak, came in to talk to our 5th graders about Sheldon Peck, famous painter and one of Lombard’s (Babcock’s Grove’s) earliest settlers. Thank you Marcy! #WeAre44
Being a person of good character means you choose to practice your values rather than simply professing them. Others may not listen to what we say but they believe all it is we do. #charactercounts
