The Boston Red Sox have removed the interim tag from manager Chad Tracy's title and signed him to a three-year contract with a club option for 2030. Tracy took over as manager following Alex Cora's firing when Boston was 12-17. The Red Sox are 74-55 since.

Investigators have reportedly questioned current and former players, parents and staff about:

• Allegations that defensive coordinator Steve Belichick used drugs at UNC facilities and potentially provided drugs to at least one player.

• A possible sexual relationship between a member of UNC’s recruiting staff and at least one player.

• Possible relationships between assistant coaches and members of the recruiting staff.

Steve Belichick has been on medical leave since August 6 and has not publicly addressed the allegations.

Lombardi, who was making $1.5M annually, had been on paid administrative leave since July 27 before resigning Thursday.
