i absolutely think downs can get back to being a 13ppg player he was in 2024. trinity usage on the high end has him close to that number.

like harmon said the reality is the colts need him to get back there.

In order for the Colts offense to still function at a high level this season, even after the Keenan Allen signing, they need to get more from Josh Downs as both an outside and downfield WR.

Good news is that his #ReceptionPerception charting shows that it is 100% possible:
- 75.3% success rate vs. man coverage
- 76.5% career average
- Strong success rates on digs, outs, posts and corners with decent volume
- 70% or better contested catch rate every season

Just have to figure out how to integrate/hide him in the run blocking game, put him on the field and throw him the ball. Simple as that.

with jordyn tyson set to lose a chunk of year 1, i looked at 1st-round WRs from the last decade whose rookie seasons got wrecked by injury.

the injury comp that jumped out:

will fuller

both: ACL tear. broken collarbone. recurring hamstrings.

i’m no doctor…but that’s eerie.

@KenWin2 that and there was also a play early in the game where burrow got sacked and looked like his knee was cooked but he was ok. that Ingram dropped td was the turning point
