I’ve been very critical of Pate this season after being a fan of his for a couple of years. This wasn’t a bad ranking based on his criteria. After last week’s results, it was fair to rank them at 2 based on a body of work separate from any preseason expectation. This is just hate to hate.
Exactly. “[Insert University here] could be really good this year. If X goes right, then Y could happen.” Says this about almost program and just rides the fence. Too afraid to have an established stance on anyone. Then [Insert University here] finds success and he claims to have known it would happen.
@promking2013@ItsDirtyDan_@NENextt@On3 That would officially be the end of everything that makes college football magical compared to the NFL. A lot of it is already gone after these past few years
@indy_sooner To be fair, a few of Riley’s teams would’ve made a 12 team playoff. If it was still 4, BV wouldn’t have been close. We got a fringe playoff appearance bolstered by slightly overrated wins in our conference schedule (outside of Bama on the road)
@korykills28@CharlieS_TFB@TFB_Sooners Against one of the best defensive fronts in country btw. And that third down play-call was great. Too bad our QB is a pumpkin. You’re lost as to what you’re watching brother.
@korykills28@CharlieS_TFB@TFB_Sooners Yeah one problem buddy, that stat doesn’t account for fumbles. Show me a clip of Arch fumbling in the backfield allowing a scoop and score the other way, and then fumbling again deep in his own territory allowing the other team to score another easy touchdown. Teams respect Arch
@korykills28@CharlieS_TFB@TFB_Sooners And I’m not even an apologist for the O-Line. They’re not great. But there’s not much they can do with their limited ability when they’re having to block 7-8 guys in the box on almost every running down.
@korykills28@CharlieS_TFB@TFB_Sooners 1. Can’t even establish a run when you only have the numbers for a very small percentage of the game.
2. And that’s because the QB is a bonehead and teams would very much rather force him to throw it to them, as he does so often.
@korykills28@CharlieS_TFB@TFB_Sooners Why do you think there’s no running game? Maybe it’s because any team they play stacks the box most of the game because they are letting JM make mistakes in the passing game.
@PotatoGobbler@Team132Hypeman Depends on your mindset if you’re Whitt. You’d hope he’s the kind of competitor that would be itching to prove himself and get his shot, especially after watching John’s blunders from the sideline.
The #Sooners may have struggled to put away New Mexico, but they still left a phenomenal impression on speedy Cache (Okla.) WR target @KenyonSweat. He goes in-depth on his visit, which featured a lunch with four high-ranking front office staffers.
