He is Mohd Anas, a 16 yo bike mechanic.

As I was travelling today, my bike broke down and I went to local mechanic.

He checked my bike and told that self-relay fuse is not working and he replaced it.

He asked me “aapko kahan jana hai bhaiya”?

I replied “main aise hi ghoom rha hoon, meri next destination 450km door hai”

Then he said “toh bhaiya main aapki bike ki chain lubing bhi kar deta hoon aur chain tight bhi kar deta hoon”

He did chain lubing and I asked “kitna paisa hua”?

He said “bhaiya paise kuch nahi huye, is kaam ke kya paise lene waise bhi aapko itni door jana hai”

When I asked him how much do you earn?

he replied “my ustad gives me ₹50 everyday and I am learning the mechanic work here”.

I got so emotional, hearing this I offered him 500₹ but he didn’t take.

I said you have to take it, he said don’t give me money, just buy a cup of tea for me.

I bought two cup of tea, we both finished it and after finishing he said “भैया बहुत अच्छा लगा आपने मेरे साथ चाय पी, हमारे धर्म बेशक अलग अलग हो लेकिन एक चीज़ कॉमन है वो है भाईचारा और मोहब्बत फैलाना।

And when I was leaving, he gave me his number and told me “Kuch dikkat ho bike mein toh btana, main phone par bta dunga ki kya karna hai”

Tears filled my eyes as I drove away and saw his image getting smaller in my bike’s side mirror. There is hope still alive!
