I've been reporting weekly for the Roanoke Rambler for the last two months. Building on the momentum of last week's "Power Behind the Pump" local data center investigation, my latest interview tackles city infrastructure with City Manager Valmarie Turner: https://t.co/pj1wiChvdL
@LaraMarlowe Wonderfully written Lara, I knew little about Vermeer and your article about the upcoming exhibition was inspiring to the imagination. I especially like this line: "He leans over a map, compass in hand, staring into space, perhaps dreaming of unexplored tropics."
@MrsAker_CCSD@CCSDConnects Please turn off your microphones when farting or burping because it will distract the class with contagious laughter but thankfully, no smells.
https://t.co/p6MVclLCpX The way Adam Curry converses at Rogan's new studio in Austin reminds of Bourdain in a way... And "I'm a conspiracy therapist" at 29 minutes was an inspired distraction for me on a break for me while writing about flight simulations.
https://t.co/6vmwOKLsGQ Second time taking this new home-set of keys out on the patio, first time recording them. This is my rendition of the traditional “St James Infirmary” hoping to re-imagine New Orleans and smoky poolrooms and swaying funeral processions in the 1920s
What a pleasure to work with Reverb’s editor Joel Handley https://t.co/uckqxeNXAM and the composers I interviewed for my first article for the magazine I bought my second keyboard from (Alesis QS8) twenty years ago.

The terms ‘novelist’ and ‘musician’ and even ‘filmmaker’ are a lot cooler and more apt than the term ‘game developer’. But ‘game designer’ is too narrow, Japan’s ‘planner’ or 1970s’ ‘implementor’ way too focused on software. All 4 carry weird baggage. I wish we had a better term.
