@cosmicsyeri June in Korea it's rainy and gray and everyone is still in school. Summer vacation here starts the last week of July when it's just starting to get hot. Water parks and beaches are an August activity here. A June release makes no sense domestically

Knetz baru aja nemuin fakta sejarah yang jauh lebih dark dan bikin syok parah.

​Sebelumnya, bapaknya Ha Young sempat bikin statement pembelaan (atau lebih tepatnya ngeles) soal pernikahan sang kakek, Dr. Ahn Sangho dengan istrinya yang orang Jepang.

Bapaknya ngeklaim kalau mereka itu dijodohin langsung sama Pangeran Ui (salah satu pangeran dari Kekaisaran Korea).

Kesannya bapaknya mau pamer kalau circle kakeknya itu keluarga kerajaan, jadi pernikahannya nggak ada urusannya sama sentimen pro-Jepang.

​Tapi, sejarah emang nggak bisa dibohongi. Lewat arsip literatur sejarah tahun 2007 dan buku 'Pioneer of Korean Medicine' (seperti bukti dokumen yang disertain), knetz ngebongkar kebohongan bapaknya.

​Faktanya, yang jadi mak comblang pernikahan kakek buyutnya itu bukan Pangeran Ui, melainkan tokoh bernama Gu Yeonsu.

​Lalu siapa Gu Yeonsu ini? Dia bukan pengkhianat biasa. Dia adalah pengkhianat bangsa kelas berat yang terlibat langsung dalam pembunuhan Ratu Myeongseong (Tragedi Eulmi Sabyeon) di tahun 1895.

Gu Yeonsu ini adalah orang yang secara aktif ikut menerobos masuk ke istana dan terlibat dalam pembakaran jenazah sang Ratu, sebelum akhirnya kabur mengasingkan diri ke Jepang.

​Dan ternyata, circle kakek buyut Ha Young sedekat itu sama si pembunuh Ratu.

Saking dekatnya, di buku itu tercatat kalau pada 1907, saat istri Dr. Ahn datang duluan ke Korea buat nyiapin kepulangan suaminya, sang istri ini numpang tinggal di rumah kediaman pribadi Gu Yeonsu.

Bapaknya Ha Young bawa-bawa nama Pangeran Kekaisaran buat damage control dan bersihin nama keluarga, eh malah kebongkar ke publik kalau circle terdekat kakek buyutnya adalah pembunuh ratu dari kekaisaran itu sendiri.

​Ini bener-bener definisi menggali kuburan sendiri 😭

@shatingstarwol I was one of the translators/planners of that whole campaign 😭 We got a better venue tho! The original one (a convention hall BTW not a concert venue) they had booked was such a ridiculous choice esp since better venues were fully available.

@favour18652 @ThaeguPrincess @Jaydobee @moniplaylist I agree wholeheartedly. Who you do or don't marry doesn't preclude anyone from being racist. You can be married to a black person and still be racist. There are just so many legitimate arguments to be made about racism/xenophobia in Korea that there's no need to make stuff up

But in this specific case, the claim she's making just isn't true. People are always making claims based on social media observations that dont align w reality
