The #16Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence begins today with an urgent focus on digital violence—a crisis affecting billions of women with almost no legal recourse.

@UNWomen reports nearly 2 billion women and girls worldwide have no legal protection from online harassment or cyberstalking. In the Philippines, we’re part of the 60% of countries trying to catch up with laws that match the reality of digital abuse: women journalists, leaders, and ordinary citizens face AI-generated harms, cyber harassment, and coordinated attacks designed to silence them. Many are leaving digital spaces entirely, taking their voices out of crucial conversations on governance, climate, and social progress.

So I got my eyes checked today because I had blurry visions for the past days. Akala ko tumaas grado ko. Ang lala. Bumaba ng sobra. From 575 both eyes (with astigmatism na 75) naging 400 na lang (R) and 375 (L) with 100 and 25 astigmatism, respectively. 🤔
