DIGITAL VIOLENCE IS REAL VIOLENCE โ๐ผ
The #16Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence begins today with an urgent focus on digital violenceโa crisis affecting billions of women with almost no legal recourse.
@UNWomen reports nearly 2 billion women and girls worldwide have no legal protection from online harassment or cyberstalking. In the Philippines, weโre part of the 60% of countries trying to catch up with laws that match the reality of digital abuse: women journalists, leaders, and ordinary citizens face AI-generated harms, cyber harassment, and coordinated attacks designed to silence them. Many are leaving digital spaces entirely, taking their voices out of crucial conversations on governance, climate, and social progress.
Until digital spaces are safe #forallwomenandgirls, true equality remains out of reach. If online violence has touched your life or someone you know, I invite you to join me in breaking the silence. Share your story using #NoExcuse for Online Abuse.
Letโs work together to end VAW now! @UNWomenPH @unwomenchief@unwomenasia@unwomen
Iโve carried in my memory all these years. In that quiet dream, I found the courage to ask, And all he did was smile.
Pa, are you finally ready to give me away? ๐ญ
I still remember the promise I made to my dad nearly 15 years ago. To keep our last name for the next 5 years after passing the Bar Exam. His 10th death anniversary is approaching so quickly.Last night, I dreamt of him.He was there, smiling at me from afar, that same gentle smile
So I got my eyes checked today because I had blurry visions for the past days. Akala ko tumaas grado ko. Ang lala. Bumaba ng sobra. From 575 both eyes (with astigmatism na 75) naging 400 na lang (R) and 375 (L) with 100 and 25 astigmatism, respectively. ๐ค
