1. Your post code plays a very big factor in the future of your kids. Research and read about the location you want to buy the house. Unlike renting where you can easily move out after 6months or one year, this is your home for the next 5-10 years at least and you don’t want to end up not liking your environment. We were very close to buying a house in Harlow some years back until we did some digging online.
2. Please go for new build as a first time buyer… renovation costs are not cheap.
3. Set aside at least £10K- £15K extra cash for furnishing.
4. If you can, avoid terrace houses (they are leasehold often times)

Travelling in 2026?
Before you book a flight, get a UK Global Health Insurance Card. It is FREE.
Most people do not know this card gives you access to necessary state healthcare when travelling in European Union countries, European Economic Area countries, Switzerland, and some countries with reciprocal healthcare agreements such as Australia. It may also be accepted for certain state healthcare in countries like Montenegro and Albania.
This includes emergency treatment, accident and emergency visits, treatment for long term or pre existing medical conditions, and routine maternity care where needed. Care may be free or you may pay the same amount a local resident would pay.
The UK Global Health Insurance Card replaced the European Health Insurance Card. If your European Health Insurance Card is still valid, you can continue to use it until it expires. You can apply for a new UK Global Health Insurance Card up to nine months before your current card expires.
The card is free, lasts for up to five years, and applications are made directly through the National Health Service.

MATERNAL DEATH AFTER CHILDBIRTH: A BITTER PILL
FLUID IN THE BRAIN AFTER DELIVERY: HYDROCEPHALUS, CVT.
THIS IS TOO PAINFUL😭
When Joy Is Interrupted: A Mother, a Headache, and the Silence That Followed
I am so, so sorry for this family’s loss, and I say this not only as a gynae doctor, but also as a mother, and as a woman who understands how childbirth is meant to end with light and laughter, and not with hospital corridors and whispered prayers. This is a story of joy interrupted, of life arriving and then leaving too soon. To Damilola’s husband, her children, her mother and grandmother: there are no words strong enough for this kind of grief. To lose a wife, a daughter, a mother in the months after childbirth, when hope is supposed to be abundant, is a cruelty no family deserves. We mourn with you.
After childbirth, a woman’s body does not simply return to normal; it recalibrates. Hormones shift, blood volume changes, and rare but dangerous risks quietly rise. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is clear: severe or persistent headaches in the postpartum period are never normal. When doctors speak of “water on the brain,” they are often describing hydrocephalus, an abnormal build-up of cerebrospinal fluid around the brain. Postpartyum, this can occur because fluid drainage becomes blocked, or because of infection, inflammation, or blood clots in the brain’s veins (CVT-Cerebral Venous Thrombosis), a recognised risk after delivery.
As this fluid accumnulates, pressure inside the skull rises, and the body begins to speak in symptoms that are often misunderstood: headaches that do not ease, vomiting, visual disturbance, drowsiness. And if that pressure is not relieved in time, consciousness can fade, and coma can follow. Once scans confirm this diagnosis, urgent neurosurgery is not a failure, it is the correct and life-saving response, done to drain the fluid and give the brain room to breathe. The fact that surgery initially helped means there was hope, and that everything possible was being done.
But sometimes and this is the most heartbreaking truth even when pressure is relieved, the brain has already suffered injury that cannot be reversed. Prolonged swelling, inflammation, infection, or clotting can leave the brain unable to recover. In those moments, machines may sustain the body, but the person we love is already slipping away. This was not “just a headache.” It was not a simple migraine. It was a rare, catastrophic postpartum neurological emergency.
Damilola did nothing wrong. Her family did nothing wrong. This was a devastating medical complication that can unfold quietly and then cruelly, all at once. She should be here, holding her baby, guiding her older children, laughing with her husband, living the future she was promised. We grieve her, and we honour her. And we must keep saying this, again and again, so that other women may be saved: persistent headaches after childbirth are a medical emergency. To this family, you are not alone. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
This was Damilola in August 2025 during the naming of her new born 😥☹️ For the sake of this little child and her other kids PLEASE donate and share 😥☹️🙏
Someone is just recovering from hangover of yesterday after many bottles and glasses of alcohol.
They will make a mistake of going into the shower to have a hot water bath.
DO NOT DO IT. DO NOT TRY IT.
Taking a hot water bath with alcohol in your system can make you drop dead.

Any help in Abuja please
Sadly, I’ll be returning to Nigeria in two months. We went through a tough time here in the UK, and our three children were taken by social services, but by the grace of God, they’ve been returned to us.
My Bro/Sis, you see that thing you’ve been waiting on God for and almost thinking it would never happen, eh? very soon, much sooner than you think, It will happen. And you will come back to this particular tweet, to say “IT HAS HAPPENED.” IN JESUS’ NAME.
You are blessed !
Even if it remains a nano second for you to make a destiny altering mistake, may the Outstretched hand of God yank you off from it in Jesus’ name. And if you have made it already, may the Mercy and Grace of God speak for you right now in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
This prayer just came to my mind. And I believe someone needs this desperately.
