Taking X Pro away from @Premium subscribers without noticeโeffective todayโin the middle of a paid annual subscription is not OK. X Pro was a large part of the value of the subscription I paid for.
@ishapiro@AlexiLalas Learn Spanish, and you never need to listen to Alexi Lalas.
I've watched a majority of the matches, and I wouldn't have known he was involved in the coverage if not for the social media controversy.
Well, sheโs basically right. Capitalism doesnโt spontaneously occur naturally. It is a creation. And since its creation the average human being stopped being poor, ignorant, and short-lived. Poverty is natural. Violence and death by bowel stewing disease is natural. Prosperity is unnatural. And we have capitalism largely to thank for it.
@RGIII That's a 15 yard penalty.
As a Spurs fan, that was a hard foul at a silly time. Rookie error in judgment.
Shai lessened the contact by rolling with it, but that's not a flop.
Hartenstein closed his hand on Castle's hair and pulled. This was not a case of his fingers getting tangled up. Should have been a Flagrant 2. Since it wasn't, it should be a 1-game suspension.
@krugs89@SpursReporter Dirty Ayo nearly broke Fox's ankle. At best, it was reckless diving into the side of a player's leg. At worst, he did it on purpose. Only Dirty Ayo knows which it was.
As usual, Trump takes routine corruption and turns it up to 11. Past collusive settlements have involved friendly groups suing the government and then (1) receiving payoffs or (2) enabling rule-making through court-enforced settlements (therefore bypassing APA requirements).
Pointing that out isn't justifying Trump's latest far more blatantly corrupt and incompetent version of the same practice.
Since a bunch of people in my feed are arguing about vaping, it's worth setting out some first principles here.
The basic one is this: society did extraordinary things to reduce tobacco smoking, and it was because of the combination of TWO things: addictiveness and deadliness.
@dilanesper I do forget about alcohol in these dinner estimates. My wife and I don't like it, so we're drinking water or soft drinks, depending on the restaurant.
California is expensive.
* I can count on one hand the number of times in my life I've had a $70/person dinner.
* We could spend $50 for two at a movie, but that'd be peak hours, 3D feature, with drinks and popcorn.
* $20 = >4 gallons of gas here, so we'd be driving 100+ miles, even with the poor mileage in our old minivan.
* Those are some premium condoms and lube.
My wife and I went to a high school football away game for our first date.
@dilanesper I'm a middle-class Delta flyer. Delta has by the far the best flights out of CVG (Cincinnati) among the major carries. (Delta has 35% of all flights. #2 and #3 are Frontier and Alegiant.) Also, with credit card miles, we have status, free checked bags, and "free" flights.
The truth: 1) for most Americans, life doesn't suck; 2) when it does, it's often due to life circumstances that aren't the fault of any system; & 3) sometimes, it's b/c of people's own mistakes/poor decisions.
It's not immigrants or DEI. Or billionaires or "the Epstein class."
As a fellow squish, I'd like to agree with you. I have no animus and favor inclusion as much as possible. But I'd want to set that recreational line pretty low. As a minimally-talented 40-something marathoner who nevertheless regularly won masters' or age group divisions and won a small marathon, I wouldn't want to devalue those achievements on the women's side.
@WembyCentral I wouldn't mind a Detroit win. I'd be less bothered by a Denver win than most.
OKC can goโฆthemselves. The Lakers and Rockets too, but I don't think they're real contenders.
The 62-win Spurs probably feel like they can beat Denver. Would Denver be that much tougher than Minnesota?
Bottom line: The Spurs played Denver once all season with Wemby, after Spurs had already clinched the 2nd seed, and the Spurs lost by 2 in OT, with Castle, Fox, and Johnson going 0-16 from 3. (Spurs shot 33% from 3.)
@RealTomPetrini The only one of those things that matters is the condition of Dylan Harper's left thumb, and I haven't heard any hint that it's serious.
