@MickFoley76@GAAOverTheBar There’s a lot there! I’m actually friends with a grand-nephew of his. His was quite the life: 1916 volunteer, prisoner in Frongoch and later a TD. While he won a Connacht football medal in his youth he was also involved in hurling, and reffed the 1930 All-Ireland final.
@melrobe08536915 Really strange for you to be annoyed at a post saying “cut from the same cloth” ie grouping all into one pot - and then yourself saying also saying “they” have a single opinion.
@MickFoley76@GAAOverTheBar@MayoGAA@Kerry_Official Re the mention of young Sean Flanagan. Crossard is in Tooreen, not Ballaghaderreen. He would have been a hurler, only the hurling club hadn’t been founded yet!
@greg_jenner @sophiedukebox@BBCSounds Surely one of these weeks the guest will realise that the ‘which of these [x] is not associated with today’s famous person?’ multiple choice is ALWAYS a trick question… 😃
We've gotten a bit obsessed about the music of @ChappellRoan in our house over the Summer so delighted to see her epic Good Luck Babe is back at the top of the Irish charts this week. I *think* Ireland is the only country in which she's had a No. 1 single (so far), so yay us!
