@indytom62@katallentax@Johnschroyer It could be in effect a $100MM loan plus interest and potential penalties. A refund is not indicative of the strength of the position or IRS agreeing with the taxpayer's position.
@katallentax@indytom62@Johnschroyer I don’t see how they push this 280E position given the holding in New Colonial Ice—tax deductions are a matter of legislative grace.
@bojack54 I would be willing to repeal the bottle bill. Is our situation better or worse than Washington’s? The underlying premise for keeping it is people will litter or not recycle without additional incentive. Not sure that’s accurate or worth the cost.
@HollandHart@katallentax@MJBizDaily Booking the UTP suggests Trulieve thinks it would lose if audited and hasn’t reached a more likely than not comfort level. Great article!
@MorganGodvin My take is any D9-THC product is going to cause impairment and there doesn't appear to be an LD50 reason to set concentration limits. Couldn't this be addressed by better labeling and product design?
@MorganGodvin I disagree with this take. In OR, infused products are treated differently non-infused. Infused products are generally more expensive and result in higher sales tax revenue per product. Should we similarly restrict distilled alcohol?
@ForemanTaxLaw @LorilynWilson We get arts tax, preschool for all, and homeless services taxes all at the local level for wage employees in Portland. But wait, there’s more if you operate a business…
@PeterMoskos@MorganGodvin Booking criteria changed during COVID. Lots of citations in lieu of arrest. Lots of people were given a court date and never booked.
When reading about Portland and its problems, I would suggest listening to a local with lived experience over an East Coast journalist, given a tour by someone with an agenda. Well written by @MorganGodvin https://t.co/NdSK6RDCmM
