No one will really understand politics until they understand that politicians are not trying to solve our problems. They are trying to solve their own problems—of which getting elected and re-elected are number one and number two. Whatever is number three is far behind.
The Covid-19 epidemic served as a natural experiment to measure the prevalence of independent-mindedness. I had low expectations, but it turned out to be even rarer than I thought.
You cannot get educated by this self-propagating system in which people study to pass exams, and teach others to pass exams, but nobody knows anything.
You learn something by doing it yourself, by asking questions, by thinking, and by experimenting. 🧠

I am fairly certain most people cannot have their best ideas if they are in back to back meetings every day. You need time to question things and then research it.
So, if you wonder why it’s hard to make ground breaking products after the first, look at your calendar.
