If Twitter does ultimately implode, anyone who wants to still follow me on other social media can find me on my website here: https://t.co/yrCzU8UeYk
Also, for those interested, my commissions are currently open.
Super excited to announce that I'm the composer for Bullets and Ball-Gowns. A fun bullet hell style game. Here's an early build of the game. I wrote the title track and the first theme heard, while the rest of the themes in this one are temp tracks.

After writing almost exclusively for strings this past year (which I have loved), I think I want to shake things up and write a short little miniature suite for wind band.
I spent way too long trying to figure out why my DAW was making a saxophone sound alongside the synth sound I was using... only to realize I had my composition software open at the same time...
1.) I remember writing songs here and there shortly after I started learning to play music. They've been pretty intertwined for me, though I didn't really start composing music on any form of sheet music until I was a Junior in High School for a class assignment.
I haven't really been gigging as much recently. Been debating putting together, for lack of a better phrase, a small chamber ensemble "book club." No real intention of gigging, but more to just hang out and play through some music in a no pressure scenario.
Today's been a ridiculously busy day between travel, teaching, and rehearsals. It was a really pleasant surprise to see that @TastingHistory1's new cookbook arrived today. I'm super excited to dive into this book and start cooking some of these recipes!
Had a fun convo with one of my students today.
Me: "So we're going to learn this Irish trad tune. Sorry if I mess up the title. My Irish is a little rusty."
S: "There's an Irish language?"
Me: "Yeah. *proceeds to speak a little Irish*"
S: "Sorry, I don't understand French"
I feel like every time that I do a new arrangement, especially when arranging large ensemble pieces for chamber ensembles, I learn a bunch of new orchestration tricks along the way.
