Imagine, if you will, that this was Trump in this photo - fists clinched, Marines at attention, with a building sacred to American history drenched in blood-red light, raving about members of the other party as “extremists” and “threats to democracy!” How would that go down?
Fauci deserves prison, but the uncomfortable truth is that he's a scapegoat for all our rage. We suffered at the hands of not just Fauci, but from the mass hysteria and cruelty of neighbors, family, and people in our communities. It completely broke us. It turned those closest to us into abusive ghouls. Trust has been shattered. We haven't reckoned with it. We still haven't recovered. And it will be a long time before we do.
“This is all so stupid.”
17-year-old Ella told her school board what every adult in the room already knew: this was simple, and they made it hard.
New Richmond’s response to girls seeking privacy was to tape maps to one of four single-stall bathrooms in the hallways and bully them into a humiliating ritual. Go across campus, ask for a key, and alert all the staff that you’re one of those intolerant girls who refuses to use the bathroom with a boy.
Every adult on that board knows what the right thing is. They’re just more afraid of activists than they are of what happens to the girls in that building. That’s what’s broken in American education.
Thankfully I have numbers rather than opinions.
The average number of days per year in the U.S. reaching 95°F was ~18% lower during the 60-year period 1961 to 2020 compared to 1901 to 1960.
The number of days reaching 100°F and 105°F have also declined since 1895.
Everyone agrees the twice-a-year clock change is ridiculous.
But if we’re making one time permanent, why choose the one that most sleep and circadian experts don’t recommend?
Permanent standard time aligns better with our biology because morning sunlight is what sets our internal clocks. Permanent Daylight Saving Time means darker winter mornings, later body clocks, and more circadian disruption. This would be another disaster for American health. It’s probably too late to stop this but switch this to permanent Standard time instead!!!!
🫀Now that’s it’s been revealed that Senator Lindsey Graham died of an aortic dissection, I wanted to provide some clarity as to what it is (and isn’t).
As you see👇, the aorta is like the water main, a huge artery that sends oxygenated blood to the entire body. It’s under extreme pressure - every time the heart beats, it expands a little and has to withstand the force of blood pumping. To do this, it has to be elastic - able to bounce back after being stretched.
In some individuals with atherosclerotic disease (hardening of arteries), the inner aorta wall becomes hardened. Imagine a very old rubber band that is brittle and crumbles when you stretch it rather than stretching and bouncing back. The aorta wall crumbles slightly, allowing blood under high pressure to make its way between the inner and outer walls of the aorta.
After just a few heartbeats (insufficient time to really do much about it in many cases), the blood peels the inner and outer walls of the aorta away from one another, causing it to burst. I’ve treated a patient with it - and he didn’t make it. It’s tough to survive.
How to avoid this? Tough to detect in advance that it’ll happen. So… Eat well (including fatty fish with Omega 3’a), lower your cholesterol, keep your blood pressure normal (exercise and weight loss help a lot).
May Senator Graham rest in peace.
Young Washington beat Supergirl, Jackass, Scary Movie, and Disclosure Day at the box office. It's Angel Studios' #1 live action release ever. Critics trashed it. Audiences gave it 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. Chris Pratt gave it a shoutout. Mainstream media is furious. America's 250th birthday movie is winning.
Go see it in theaters. This is what happens when you make a movie for Americans instead of Hollywood.

🧵Was the American Revolution sinful?
Many Christians wrestle with Romans 13 (“obey the authorities”) and wonder if the Founding Fathers rebelled against God when they broke with King George.
The answer is no — and here’s why. 🧵
In 1982, Robin Williams did a routine as the American Flag for the Norman Lear produced tv special "I Love Liberty" created to bridge political divides - and it's one of the greatest pieces you'll see 🇺🇸
