Sorry to break your bubble but that's not why.
The reason why is because Seunghan has a contract with SM. One in which SM promises to provide a bare minimum of service. If they don't fill those bare minium margins Seunghan has legal grounds to terminate his contract which would cost SM a lot of money.

Also, I appreciate the positivity but we cannot provide the proper promotion without the backing of SM.
Neither fans nor Seunghan himself can set up:
- music shows appearances
- variety shows appearances
- concerts
- tours
- photoshoots
- brand deals
- award show appearances
We can't do anything but buy albums SM will chose to release in their own terms.

I'm sorry but being a fan of SM's artists for a while I can tell you what we'll get for his solo:
- massive breaks in between promotion
- short promotion time
- no tour (at least not outside of Asia)
- half baked albums

He's going to give his all, and he'll be amazing I know that, but artists need companies for a reason and SM will not put in the effort.

Being a soloist in kpop is hard enough without your company not caring about you.

I care about him, I'm happy he's safe, but this is not the reward you think it is.
It's a masked punishment.

All of this and still, no legal action...
