@MyFCMB you are frustrating my life. It’s been 3 days now, no reversal of funds and you didn’t credit the recipient. Your customer service has been mute about this, no response from you guys atall. WTF😡
It was my second year in Lagos, 1997. I was living in Ketu and had gone to Bode Thomas surulere, Game Villages to see my friend Henry. There was no cell phone then, so I wasn't sure he would be home or not, but I went. When I got to his house around 1 p.m., I was told he had gone out. And his siblings didn't know where he went. I slept and woke up. He was still not back. I ate eba sha and waited until 5.30pm before living. The problem was, I no get transport money.
I trekked from his house to Iponri bus stop. It was close of work and bus stop was over crowded. There was no danfo back then. It was moluwe. I stood for over 30 minutes, not knowing what to do. An idea came into my head, and I asked someone for paper, I looked for a piece of paper and wrote ketu on it. After writing it, I was looking at the faces of the bus conductors and their sizes, I didn't want to enter the wrong one at all. I wanted to form deaf and dumb. So, I approached the bus conductor, and they were two conductors. One was busy shouting Ketu ojota mile 12 palmgrove onipanu. I showed him the paper that I had written Ketu on it and made deaf kind of noise. He ketu wọle. I stood by the back door because the was jam packed. By the time we got to palmgrove, the bus was half empty because so many people had dropped. I was standing, and a few passengers were saying joko oo, which means sit down. I ignored them and pretend I didn't hear. By the time we got Anthony, the conductor said to me. Owo da? Meaning your money. I said abhahhsbskdndhdidjheb. He said werey le eyi. Passengers were saying to him ko le ri pe ko le sọrọ. fi i silẹ nikan. And the conductor said, let me finish collecting my money first, Emi ma gba owo mi lọwọ rẹ. And I come dey para self as I don see passengers support. I said blabkgjshskdhdhdgjd.
So, the conductor continued collecting his money, I didn't know he will still come back to me. The next I knew was someone carrying one of my legs from back and was trying to remove my sandals, and I broke lose and started screaming apoh, apoh hsjdjdjdjd, djdjdydjdkdj. The whole passengers were saying to the conductor, "Leave him joor, can't you he talk, how is the money self. And some started abusing the conductor.
Laugh wan kill me inside my belle. I was standing by the time we were at the bridge between Maryland and Ojota, something fall at the ball of the bus and made a loud noise, I was the first person to turn back, I realised what I did, and pretended to be warning the conductor by making dumb noise.
By the time I got to ketu bus stop, came down from the bus, I sat down on the ground laughing. 🙃 How did I survive that.
