It’s time for another round of Crypto: Myth or Fact?!

When purchasing crypto, you have to buy a whole coin… Of course, it’s a MYTH! Cryptocurrencies are divisible, meaning you can buy fractions of a coin — just like you can own 50 cents instead of a whole $1. Bitcoin, for example, is divisible down into Satoshis (or Sats) which represent 0.001 BTC.

What's been happening this week in the world of crypto? Let's recap:

🔁 A study by CoinLaw highlighted that blockchain-based cross-border payments have grown around 45% annually and are projected to hit $3 trillion by 2025. At the same time, transaction fees have dropped by 70–80% and settlement speeds now range from 3 to 10 seconds, vastly outperforming traditional systems.

🪙 Strategy Inc. purchased an additional 220 BTC for $27.2 million, bringing its total holdings to 640,250 BTC. Their latest acquisition underscores their continued confidence in Bitcoin as a digital asset.

📉 Last Friday marked one of the largest crypto market liquidations in history — over $19 billion wiped out in a single day after unexpected macroeconomic news sent prices tumbling. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other major assets plunged before partially recovering later in the day. A stark reminder of just how volatile the crypto markets can be.
