and honestly, the wild part is how easy this was to build. i prototyped the whole thing with ai, as a designer, in a day.
not a mockup. a real native app i could keep testing ideas on. faster and leaner changes what you even bother to explore.

did you know east asia wrote vertically for thousands of years. top to bottom, right to left. We only switched to horizontal about a century ago.
then computing grew up in the west and everything snapped to horizontal. fair enough, latin alphabet, easier defaults.
but vertical never left print here. books, manga, signage. it just never got popularized onto our digital experience. so i built one that did 👇
so i built Vertically Verse. a bible reader thats vertical from the ground up.
text runs down and to the left. you pull past the last column to load the next chapter. the controls fade out while you read.
