Landry is very high academic, and I tip my hat to the young man for sticking to his guns to pursue a quality State School education. He was content to go play Club Ball at Chapel Hill, but the All-State Catcher continued to show his potential during the Legion season with @Post82Baseball and continued to turn heads

Landry had plenty of JUCO, D3, and D2 opportunities to consider, but he wasn't going to compromise his Educational and Campus Setting goals, so when Charlotte extended the offer, it was an opportunity that checked all of Ohmstead's boxes.

It's going to be an uphill battle, but Ohmstead is a well-seasoned catcher that isn't shy to competitive baseball. The challenge is worth it since Ohmstead can now pursue both his baseball and academic goals. Very happy to see this talented ball player continue to play the game at a high level

Ran a 6.96 60yd, Pop Times were 1.94-1.97 w/ Position Velo of 76-77mph; quality block/receive skills. Arm was 82-84 from the OF. Top EV during BP was 95 MPH.

Landry is open-minded in the process and is very interested in Top Academic D3 Baseball Programs while also testing the waters on top Academic D1 institutions. Simply put, Academic opportunities will drive his decision. Good character with good priorities
