license plate watcher, ice cream eater, and ardent serial comma defender. corporate governance attorney by day. mom on nights and weekends. i like to run.
I found running in 2017 to cope with the first term, and I found strength I did not know I possessed. I don’t know what happens now. But I believe that individually we are capable of tapping into a strength greater than we could ever imagine.
experienced parents assured me the colic and constant night wakings would pass. “It will get better!” they said. And yet they omitted the part about 3rd grade recorder.
AITA, runners edition: if the pedestrian paths are covered in ice, am I the a-hole for running on the side of the road, facing traffic?

Or for some, they could be! How can you keep a marriage going if you can’t laugh about how hard it is? But joking about the trials of marriage neither makes you a terrible person nor foreshadows divorce. It just means you are willing to talk about how fucking hard marriage is.
I wish I were friends with @hhavrilesky so I could talk about how angry I am that Ali Wong’s comedy is being used to snark at her divorce. Marriage is hard. We are allowed to laugh about how hard it is. We are also allowed to get divorced. Those things are not mutually exclusive.
