Dearest friend @tinu reflects on friendships w/ white people. It’s pointed, salty & ideal for repeat meditations.
Once when vacationing together, a hotel associate looked at us, & treated me as a guest but Tinu as if she worked there. I was rage-stunned; Tinu was magnanimous.
Trying to be friends with white people is rough. Not gonna lie.
I actively seek them out though because I hate hypocrisy. And I can’t ask people to do what I won’t.
I got Creative Crab on "Which VeeFriends Character Are You?" Quiz. Find yours: https://t.co/rWQ9pVeDxU p.s. thx @garyvee for fun (…a zillion years ago when the web was young a fellow blogger said the “funniest folks on twitter are the wine guy Gary & Jill’s Utterly clips ha!”).

In these months, the people of #Ukraine are always in my prayers. I pray with you and for you, dear brothers and sisters of Ukraine, for a future of #peace, one in which economic and political interests that generate war will finally give way to the good of the people.
Politics is causing spiritual harm in Americans' lives, and a big reason for that is people are going to politics to meet spiritual and emotional needs.
I ask all of you to join me in praying for Father Isaac Achi, of the Diocese of Minna in northern Nigeria, who was killed last Sunday in an attack on his rectory. So many Christians continue to be the target of violence. Let us #PrayTogether for them.
Our communities are also called to go out to the various types of “boundaries” there might be, to offer hope to those stationed on the existential peripheries, who have not yet experienced, or have lost, the strength and the light that comes with meeting Christ #OctoberMissionary
For those who care about promoting a healthy pluralism in 21st-century America, it’s both unwise and untrue to spread this narrative of loss and antagonism as inherent to pluralism and diversity.
@MollyKCahill@americamag Thanks for your heartfelt candor in your reflection…. resonated a lot. I’m a newer convert (Easter 2021) and am drawn to (…healed by…) the sacraments and the studious, Christ-hopeful hearts in the perish.
With two days until Election Day, here are five questions that Christians should ask themselves before they vote. Go to https://t.co/fAMdkyRkUC to download the full guide that our founder @MichaelRWear wrote to guide Christians' decision-making process.
Christians should not need to believe that this is the most important election ever in order to vote. We act in politics because it is one essential forum in which we can love our neighbor. This is the orientation of our hearts as we vote.
