Thank you @ACOS_MSS & @rvu_co_acos for hosting this year’s ACOS-MSS conference. I enjoyed hearing from all the panelists and the interactive simulations. @nyitcomar was well represented this year! I had the opportunity to share my @StopTheBleed research.

It was an honor to be able to virtually present my summer research at UAMS during this year’s #MSOS2023. Very cool experience to create and present using a visual abstract format. Thank you @MSOSOrtho! Looking forward to next year! #Research#LadyPod#OrthoTwitter
Just a few pictures of the casting clinic held in collaboration between Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery Interest Group (OSIG). A big thank you to Dr. Sismondo and Casey from @JOrthoSportsMed for teaching this skills class.

Last semester @BreannaThomp18 and I co-founded the Orthopedic Surgery Interest Group (OSIG) @nyitcomar. As Co-Presidents, our mission is to bring together like-minded students interested in Ortho. Follow OSIG on Instagram @osig.nyitcomar.

This Stop the Bleed event for my independent research project was several months in the making. This event was made possible through a partnership between NYITCOM-AR ACOS and the Little Rock, AR army medical recruiters. 1/3🧵
Through this independent research project, I was able to write a literature review, curate and administer surveys, learn and apply for IRB approval, and execute my plan. I look forward to next steps in this project -> data analysis and presentation. 3/3
In addition to the training, I collected research data assessing the comfort, willingness, and confidence of attendees (1st and 2nd yr medical students) to help in a situation requiring hemorrhage control. Surveys were given before and after the training. 2/3
Thank you @PerryInitiative and @UAMSOrtho! I was able to practice fixing femoral fractures, learn about life as an Ortho resident, & network with female leaders in the field. Highly recommend finding a Perry Initiative event near you!!

Last Friday, ACOS @NYITCOMAR collaborated with the army medical recruiters from Little Rock, AR and Dr. Byrd to host a fun, hands-on suture clinic. I enjoyed seeing first and second years come together and learn this skill that was brand new to many of them!

I’m thankful, as ACOS Chapter President, to be able to offer this opportunity. A huge thank you to medical recruiters of Little Rock and Dr. Brandon Byrd for making this wonderful event possible! We hope to collaborate with them again soon!
