The world lost a hero today. The Israeli occupation murdered Mohammed Tamous while he was heading to save Palestinians from under the rubble, the same he’s been doing for 3 years.
He was only 19-years-old when he took on one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, heading towards Israeli airstrikes to save people. He had his whole life ahead of him and for three years, he was a hero in Gaza, saving thousands of lives.
We will never forget you. We are heartbroken.
Israel’s expanding network of checkpoints is UNLAWFUL and must be dismantled immediately.
Part of the carceral geography of apartheid, it makes Palestiniams' daily life fully dependent on arbitrariness.
Thank you @WIRED for exposing this viciousness: https://t.co/b9kHQ4YHHe
JON STEWART: “So in the FUTURE we WILL use A.I. to cure diseases… but right now it’s mostly murder, surveillance, and surge pricing for the McRib — What a trade! I’m getting the sense you guys might be full of shit.”
Prof. Jeffrey Sachs:
“Israel is the most VIOLENT country per capita in the whole world.
Israel has either overtly or covertly through Mossad engaged in wars that stretch from Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and now Iran.”
In 1979-80 the cost of local authority elderly residential care was £63 per week, which was 58% of an average wage. In 2026 it is £1298, or 184% of an average wage.
Privatisation of care is basically a letter of marque. Licence for the depraved to prey on the desperate.
“As a Palestinian, I am the direct subject of Zionism. I’m an expert on it, in fact, because it is practised on my body”
Mohammed El-Kurd defines Zionism in under 5 minutes. He says everything that needs to be said👇
For anybody who doesn't know AI is only free because they need you to use it.
Once they have everyone dependent on it, it will become really expensive really fast.
Just like Uber, Netflix, Groceries...
🚨 BREAKING:
Former Irish President Mary Robinson, 81, and former New Zealand PM Helen Clark, 75, are at the Rafah border crossing protesting against Israel.
Good morning and Happy Saturday to everyone who agrees that JD Vance should go f*ck himself for suggesting that Americans should stop griping "about the little things" like gas, groceries, and basic necessities.
Tone deaf jackass.
🚨 BREAKING:
Spanish PM Sánchez on Israel:
"Protecting your country is one thing; killing more than 60,000 civilians, displacing 2 million people, bombing hospitals, and starving innocent children to death is something entirely different.
I think we are witnessing one of the darkest and most horrific events of the 21st century unfolding before our eyes.
The international community cannot remain silent and paralyzed.
What moral leadership can we provide in the new world order if we abandon the Palestinians?"
Nobody wants a city on Mars. Nobody wants AI in every app. Nobody wants a robot butler. Nobody wants data centers everywhere. Nobody wants flying cars or humanoid robots. We want clean water, we want bees to survive, and we want a habitable planet.
why aren’t the robots working in the mines and oil fields and handling toxic chemicals or picking plastic out of the ocean? why are they writing emails and making powerpoint presentations? what the hell are we doing
This is one of the most famous images in the world, and almost no one knows that the man who made it was over seventy, and believed he was only just getting started...
It's The Great Wave off Kanagawa, by Katsushika Hokusai, made in the early 1830s. A wall of water rises over three narrow boats, its crest breaking into claws of white foam, while the men inside bow their heads and hold on. And far in the distance, so small you might miss it, sits Mount Fuji, the most sacred mountain in Japan, framed by the curve of the wave as if it were just another pebble in the sea.
By then Hokusai had already been drawing for more than sixty years.
He had made thousands of prints and illustrated hundreds of books, more than enough for most people to call it a life's work, but he saw all of it as little more than a warm-up…
At seventy-five, he wrote that "until the age of 70, nothing I drew was worthy of notice," and that if he lived to a hundred and ten, "every dot and every stroke will be as though alive." He signed it "Old Man Mad about Painting."
He didn't make it to a hundred and ten. He died at nearly ninety, still working, still sure his best was ahead of him. And his last words, recorded by his daughter, were not about what he'd done, but about what he still wanted to do. He asked for five more years of life, "then I'll manage to become a true artist."
Most of us spend our lives believing our best years are behind us. The man who made the most famous wave in history spent his believing they hadn't arrived yet…
I still cannot fully comprehend the scale of the destruction and devastation that has befallen Gaza. Whenever I remember my home and the neighborhood where I used to live, how it looked before the war, and then see what it has become, I am overwhelmed by a shock I cannot put into words.
Sometimes I feel as though we have lived through the horrors of a world war, as if Gaza has become a scene from cities destroyed by war, like Dresden, Germany, after World War II. It is difficult for the human mind to comprehend how a place once full of life could be reduced to such an immense amount of rubble and destruction.
Don't stay silent, at least share!!💔
104 Iranian sailors, many in their late teens, unarmed, thousands of miles away at a training event with other nations.
Their final words to the US warship that slaughtered them "we are unarmed".
The law of armed conflict states survivors to be recused - the US ignored this.
🚨Yesterday, people at 40+ hospitals across England said: no Palantir in the NHS.
Palantir works with the Israeli military and ICE, and holds a £330m contract for NHS patient data.
It can be scrapped within weeks. Share this and tell the government: back the break clause.
