@MilesBriggsMSP @theSNP@ScotTories Thank you for taking this issue to FM question time.We commend the reduction in mortality from coronary heart disease. This however leads to more patients living with heart failure & in need of the specialist heart failure multidisciplinary team in which heart failure nurses are🔑
Well done to our colleagues @ScottishHFNF on their significant work raising awareness in lack of provision of heart failure nurses in Scotland despite the growing HF population. Let’s hope this crisis is addressed.

@NicolaSturgeon thank you for your response to @MilesBriggsMSP. It is a great achievement that multi-agency collaboration in 🏴 has led to a reduction in coronary ❤️ disease.
We look forward to this support in further developing the multi disciplinary heart failure specialist services that are essential in improving outcomes and quality of life in this patient group 🏴
⚠️@ScottishHFNF are warning of a “potential crisis in care delivery”
🏥Under @theSNP we have seen fewer specialist heart failure nurses in Scotland than 10 years ago
❤️@ScotTories are calling for a commitment to invest in nurses & data to support better patient services. #FMQs
Just hoping they understand the very significant difference between heart disease and heart failure..less deaths from disease yes, but leaving more folk living with this disabling long term condition which co times to be a primary reason for unscheduled admissions 😥
