B’nessBlackwood answered Lord Hunt of KH 5.11.19 in HoL re liothyronine. Liothyronine is commissioned by CCGs she says. Are Drs needing permission to prescribe it from possibly none medically trained staff at CCGs? NHS already stated Liothyronine prescribing does not need IFRs.

Thread On T3 prescribing
CCG data now available until August 2019 and its depressing - comparison made with July 2018 (end of prev analysis)
1) T3 prescriptions have continued to FALL (🔽6%) despite T4 prescriptions going UP
2) We are spending less on T3 than we were (🔽 20%)
