Those predicting another 2007 are ignoring the difference, because 2007 was almost spiritual, the political divide was real, the loyalty was deep and you could feel the tension in the air before anything happened.

What we are seeing now is not that kind of organic political anger, it is paid goonism, where someone is given Sh1,000, handed a stone and told to manufacture fear for politicians who cannot win honestly.

A paid goon can reach a point and say, “Man, this is enough for the Sh1,000 they gave me,” because there is no cause, no belief and no real public support behind the violence.

Ruto is cornered from every side, and good Kenyans are the overwhelming majority, so any attempt to use hired goons in 2027 will be met by citizens neutralizing them refusing to let a tiny paid minority terrorise the country.

The mere existence of an X account is not proof that a particular individual created, controlled, or operated it. If investigators allege that someone is behind an account, they should present credible digital forensic evidence capable of establishing attribution not conjecture.

That evidence may include authenticated login records, account registration data, recovery email information, linked MSISDN, IP address logs, device identifiers (IMEI/Device ID where applicable), browser fingerprinting data, MAC address correlation where relevant, session tokens, geolocation metadata, subscriber information obtained through lawful process, SIM registration records, ISP logs, account access history, two-factor authentication records, platform preservation records, chain-of-custody documentation for all digital evidence, and certified disclosures from the platform linking the account to the suspect.

Before extending a person's detention, judges should demand evidence that satisfies basic forensic and evidentiary standards. Suspicion, investigative intuition, or police guesswork is not digital attribution, and it is certainly not proof beyond the legal threshold required to deprive a citizen of liberty.

A General Constitutional Test for the IMF Treaty

A treaty, statute, or international agreement amounts to a de facto constitutional amendment if it:

(a) removes a constitutional power from a constitutional organ;
(b) transfers that power to an entity not established by the Constitution;
(c) immunises the exercise of that power from constitutional scrutiny or judicial oversight; or
(d) fundamentally alters the relationship between the people and the institutions through which they exercise sovereign power.

Where any of these effects arises, the court must ask one question. Were the constitutional amendment procedures under Articles 255, 256, or 257 followed?

If the answer is no, then the measure is unconstitutional and invalid to the extent that it purports to alter the Constitution.
