@antu71857289 The STEVE was seen at 20:30 to around 21:00. I was looking north for the Aurora but on looking around noticed a bright ribbon extending from east to west across the sky. The image with the sharp point is the view to the east with the less defined image to the west ๐๐ผ
Youโve probably seen plenty from last night but these were from earlier this week on Monday. A blast of STEVE arcing over the night sky before the lights started dancing. Taken north of Applecross to the Inner Sound to Rona, Raasay & Skye #STEVE#Aurora#WesterRoss#Scotland
Gannets from Troup Head last week. The bird in the first two pictures (which was also ringed) has one black iris and one the normal blue colour #SuperSeabirdSunday@SteelySeabirder
How it startedโฆโฆ. How itโs goingโฆโฆโฆ. The giant sunspot cluster AR3664, as seen a couple of days ago, and the resulting (so far) flares at Earth as seen last night and early this morning #Aberdeenshire#Scotland#Aurora#Solar
@SteelySeabirder Nesting gannets (Note the black irises on this pair), fulmar, a murmuration of knots and bar-tailed godwits. From the north east of Scotland this last week #SuperSeabirdSunday
@RSPBScotland@_bto Interesting to see this pair of Northern Gannets at Troup Head today. Notice that they both have black irises, instead of the normal blue, which are thought to be as a result of surviving avian flu #Aberdeenshire#Scotland#NorthernGannet#AvianFlu
Another one from earlier in the week on Lochnagar. This one is a panorama consisting of fifteen handheld shots which have been stitched together. It might well need a tap/click #Lochnagar#Panorama#Cairngorms#Scotland
@alan_crichton Aye, the melt was on! A not often visited spot down at the loch but a great place to visit to get the atmosphere of the place for sure ๐๐ผ
Lochnagar this morning. A strong blustery wind and soft snow. Plenty of ptarmigan around starting to pair up and a flock of Snow Bunting #Cairngorms#Scotland
