I was stationed at Ellsworth AFB for 4 years, so I got to experience the Sturgis bike rally firsthand.

Before that, I thought bikers were kind of scary until one came up to me at the gas pump and told me to “thank my old man for his service.” I was wearing a military jacket. I just quietly said thank you.

I never told that biker I also served for 8 years. I was so shocked that anyone would thank anyone for our service.

Bikers are badass and hugely patriotic. ♥️🔥♥️🔥
